Naloxone in palliative care 🧵
Naloxone can save lives in people with opioid induced respiratory failure or apnoea.
It’s use only indicated when there is a fall in respiratory rate with evidence of significant ventilatory failure

Evidence does not support its use.
In a similar fashion to using Clonazepam for pain it is probably helpful in a small number of people who have anxiety and poor sleep associated with their symptoms.
