Hey @twitter, To hang something (or someone) out to dry, is not to be taken literally when used in writing and speech. It is an idiom that is used to analogously explain the abandonment of a person or predicament, usually in an unfair context. Why was my account blocked?

There’s lots of talk these days of how life has become unaffordable in Canada. Unfortunately, this is the very predictable result of policies that many Canadians have been supporting, despite warnings from me and others. There is no free lunch, we always end up paying for destructive, costly policies. We can’t have massive government deficits financed by ultra low interest rates and cheap money printed by central banks without consequences. We can’t close down the economy and pay people to do nothing for two years without consequences. We can’t thwart the expansion of our energy sector and spend tens of billions on inefficient pseudo green technologies without consequences. We can’t invite millions of foreigners to come live here without consequences. We can’t discourage work, investment and innovation with high taxes and excessive regulation without consequences. We can’t constantly expand the welfare state and create new costly social programs without consequences. The reality is that life will become increasingly unaffordable in Canada as long as the majority of Canadians vote for establishment parties that buy their votes with such policies while refusing to acknowledge they cost anything.
