Fireworks Notification
On Sunday, 6/14/26, as part of UFC Freedom 250, there will be short bursts of fireworks prior to each bout.
At the conclusion of the event on the South Lawn and the Ellipse of the White House, there will be a 6 minute finale near the National Mall.

We’re almost done. The last day for DPW’s FY27 Leaf Season Information Sessions is today. Didn’t make it to a session? There’s still time to join us. The next sessions are at 1pm and 3pm. Although online registrations are full, walk-ins are welcome and can register at the door.
DPW’s Solid Waste Administrator Warnique West and Deputy Administrator Dr. Richard Morris joined the 11am session today, giving registrants a look into the day to day during leaf season.

🪝FY26 YTD: @DCDPW has impounded 5,209 cars with total of $27M in unpaid citations
📌 Of those, 2,301 were "high value scofflaws" (more than $3k in unpaid fines) that owed $23.4M in unpaid tickets
