The government is announcing today a plan to keep Drax Power Station running until 2031.
This is an investment in UK energy security. It will help keep the lights on, keep energy bills down for consumers and support a clean power system in 2030.

Today, more than 100 CEOs and senior executives from the World Economic Forum’s Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders have published an open letter to world leaders ahead of @COP28_UAE calling upon governments to scale up investments in renewable energy and implement policies that will help reduce emissions across global supply chains.
