Incredible night and one of much needed community and reminders of shared history, as well as an epic performance - thank you @JTaylorTrash 💙
This is happening! My new book launches on Nov 9, and we’re opening the doors to the Maryville for a raucous night of rowdy intellect. Ticket link in replies ✊

The Life of a Showgirl: Kitty Fisher had her reputation ruined but turned it to her advantage, and became the first female celebrity (known for her affairs). She was portrayed as Cleopatra long before Elizabeth Taylor. #TS12 messynessychic.com/2024/04/0…

Did a @BBCBreaking reporter actually just say that some people might be surprised by the request for harshest penalities because this wasn't 'rape in the traditional sense' and then refer to the facts as 'disagreeable'?? Are you joking? #pelicot

Gisèle Pelicot waived anonymity in a mass rape trial, so that "macho, patriarchal society that trivialises rape" could change. Her courage unfathomable, no honour too great, she stood up for ALL women, changed history and yet Time's Person of the Year is a male sexual assaulter:

Gisèle Pelicot is on the stand today and asked about her decision to continue using the surname "Pelicot". Gisèle explains that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name. She adds: "I have grandchildren who are called that. "Today, I want them to be proud of their grandmother. "My name is known across the world now. They shouldn't be ashamed of carrying that name. "Today we will remember Gisèle Pelicot." Yes we will. What a woman. #ShameMustChangeSides
