Pray with me May 20, 2026 Jesus, Son of the Living God, King above every king and Name above every name, we adore You today. You are the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth. You stepped into our brokenness and carried what we could never carry ourselves. You walked among the weary, touched the forgotten, healed the wounded, and loved the unlovable. You are gentle with the humble and fierce against darkness. You are the Lion and the Lamb, holy beyond comprehension, yet near enough to hear the faintest cry of a desperate heart. Lord Jesus, You are not merely a teacher of truth, You are Truth itself. You are not merely a way forward, You are the Way. In a world filled with noise, confusion, and shifting shadows, You remain constant, faithful, and eternal. We adore You for the cross, where mercy and justice embraced. We adore You for the empty tomb, where death lost its victory forever. We adore You because You did not abandon us to fear, shame, or sin, but called us sons and daughters through Your redeeming love. You are the Shepherd who still pursues wandering hearts. You are the Bread that satisfies starving souls. You are the Living Water that never runs dry. You are the resurrection and the life. Jesus, every crown belongs at Your feet. Every breath belongs to Your glory. Every part of our lives belongs in surrender to You. Teach us to love what You love. Break what needs breaking within us. Shape us into people who reflect Your heart in a dark world. May our lives become living songs of adoration. Not just words from our mouths, but surrender from our hearts. We praise You for who You are, not merely for what You give. And even if the whole world grows silent, let our souls never stop declaring: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain. Worthy is the risen King. Worthy is Jesus. Amen

Today I’m thankful that I had a mother who prayed for me. I believe the prayers of a mother echo farther than we can ever imagine. Happy Mother’s Day to the women who hold families together, carry burdens nobody sees, love without keeping score, and quietly pour themselves out day after day. The world keeps moving because mothers keep doing what moms do.

Pray with me May 3, 2026 Father God, Your Word says in Psalm 34:18 that You are near to the brokenhearted, so I ask You to come near to me in this moment. When my heart feels heavy and my hope feels distant, remind me of the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, that You have plans for me, plans for good and not for harm, plans to give me a future and a hope. Lord, steady my mind and quiet my fears. Guide my steps when I cannot see the way, just as You promise in Proverbs 3:5-6. Teach me to trust You even here, even now. Fill me again with Your peace, the kind that does not make sense to the world, but holds me together from the inside out. Give me strength for today, and faith for tomorrow. I am not abandoned. I am not forgotten. I am Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Sometimes I feel like Tarzan...One of the lessons I want my kids to remember from the crazy life their Dad has lived: There is a point in every person’s life when they have to let go of the vine they’ve been swinging on and clinging to, even though they don’t have ahold of the next one yet. You can’t cling to the same vine forever, and you can’t get to where God wants to take you without that terrifying moment of free fall. You have to trust that the next vine will be there waiting for you, even before you've identified it, and you have to trust in the One who put it there.

Pray 🙏
Let’s pray for our world right now. Join me. Father in heaven, We come before You in this moment, not as people shaken by the noise of the world, but as citizens of a Kingdom that cannot be moved. You are enthroned above every nation, every ruler, every headline, and every decision made by human hands. Your Word declares that the heart of the king is in Your hand, and You turn it wherever You will. So we ask You now, not in fear, but in faith: Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Even in the midst of flawed leadership, confusion, and unrest, we ask that Your purposes would not be hindered. Advance Your Kingdom through Your people. Let the gospel run swiftly. Let truth rise. Let righteousness stand. Let light break through every shadow. Lord, remind us that You are not reacting to history, You are writing it. Where men make decisions in pride, establish Your wisdom. Where there is injustice, bring Your justice. Where there is division, release Your peace. Where there is deception, let truth be revealed. And in us, Your people, anchor our hearts. Teach us to live with eternal vision. Your Word says our life is a vapor, here for a moment and gone. So fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. Let us live in a way that echoes into eternity, faithful, bold, unshaken. Give us peace that surpasses understanding. Not peace because circumstances are stable, but peace because You are sovereign. Remind us that Christ has already overcome the world. That the cross was not defeat, but victory. That the resurrection was not a possibility, but a declaration that Your purposes cannot fail. So we stand today with confidence: Your Kingdom will advance. Your purposes in Christ will prevail. Your glory will fill the earth. Keep us faithful in the meantime. Watchful. Prayerful. Steady. Let us be found doing Your will when You return. We trust You. We rest in You. We follow You. In the name of Jesus Christ, our King, Amen

At the very moment that Augustus is making decrees as the ruler of the known world, and Herod is seething in his palace, God enters stage right. Not on the clouds, asserting his power and dominance, not with all the strength and might he rightly has. But in humility. Doing so with a profound statement that he is turning all our preconceived notions completely upside down. One of the most beautiful, yet often overlooked, components to this story is Mary’s reaction to the news of her Son. In church tradition we call her carol The Magnificat: “My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has begun to rejoice in God my Savior, because he has looked upon the humble state of his servant.  For from now on all generations will call me blessed, because he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name; from generation to generation he is merciful to those who fear him.  He has demonstrated power with his arm; he has scattered those whose pride wells up from the sheer arrogance of their hearts.  He has brought down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up those of lowly position; he has filled the hungry with good things, and has sent the rich away empty.  He has helped his servant Israel, remembering his mercy, as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.” (Luke 1:46-55) Amidst all the interpretations of Christmas that we hear at this time of year from clergy, advertisers, politicians, and journalists, we might benefit from listening to the mother who sits at the centre of it all. According to Mary, Christmas is about God scattering the proud, bringing down unjust rulers, lifting up the humble. It’s about God turning things upside down— which ironically is the right way up to begin with. And God accomplishes all of this not “from on high,” like the decree of Augustus, or the brutality of Herod; instead, God achieves his purposes from below in the lowliness of a manger. With shepherds, livestock, and foreign magi as the first witnesses.  Christmas is about God turning things upside down—which ironically is the right way up to begin with.  Every detail about the Christmas story (and the subsequent life of Jesus as well), states that God will reverse the mess and do so by first getting his own hands dirty. God conquers by humbling himself, he will heal by being wounded, he will save us by sacrificing himself. The manger is a throne, and works as a beacon of how God intends to turn everything upside down. Grace triumphs over dominance, mercy over force, and Mary’s song will be the world’s song. Joy will pierce through the sorrow and sadness, fully and forever.

My CISO called me at 3 AM last Tuesday. "We caught someone." I asked, "Caught them doing what?" He said, "Typing." Let me explain. We have an employee in IT. Great worker. Always online. Never complained. Perfect Slack etiquette. One problem. His keystrokes were arriving 110 milliseconds late. One hundred and ten milliseconds. That's 0.11 seconds. The average American remote worker has 20-40ms of latency. This guy? 110ms. Every. Single. Keystroke. My security team ran the numbers. That latency doesn't come from a bad router in Ohio. That latency comes from Pyongyang. Our "Senior DevOps Engineer" was a North Korean operative. Running his work laptop through a laptop farm. In America. While he worked from a government building. In North Korea. He passed the interview. He passed the background check. He passed the vibe check. He did not pass the speed of light. Here's what people don't understand about physics: Light travels 186,000 miles per second. But it still has to go through China. And China adds latency. Since April, Amazon has caught 1,800 of these attempts. Eighteen hundred. I called an emergency meeting with my board. I said, "We need to implement Keystroke Velocity Auditing across all remote employees." They said, "That sounds invasive." I said, "You know what else is invasive? The Democratic People's Republic of Korea in your Jira tickets." They approved the budget. We now monitor keystroke timing to the microsecond. If your latency exceeds 60ms, you get a call from HR. If it exceeds 100ms, you get a call from the FBI. We've already flagged 47 employees. Turns out 44 of them just have bad Wi-Fi. 3 of them are "still under investigation." The lesson? You can fake a resume. You can fake a background check. You can fake an American accent on Zoom. But you cannot fake the speed of light. Physics is the ultimate background check. Hire accordingly.

I was today years old when I learned about Cloudflare’s lava lamp encryption key generator. 🤪
3 Jun 2024
Did you know that Cloudflare has a room with 100 Lava Lamps in it with a camera always on them? The camera takes pictures of the lava lamps with numerical values given to each pixel. These random lava lamp pictures are then used to generate truly random encryption keys.

It would be a huge mistake to keep thinking of China as the same cyber threat actor we were dealing with ten years ago. Let's talk about it. See you on Thursday for a more in-depth discussion. events.zoom.us/ev/AhsoFeh2OO…

John Rich, bringing the truth. 😊
When you are under Spiritual attack, pray these prayers, and read these verses, and The Lord will bind and silence the agents of wickedness: Psalm 34:7 “The angels of the Lord encamp around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” Prayer: “Lord, please send Your angels to encamp around me today, to be a wall of FIRE, and protection between me and those who are attacking my family. I pray that you would send the Holy Spirit to be present with me today, and with every step I take, I pray you walk with me, so that every evil spirit would run and hide from your mighty presence. By the power of the blood that was shed by your Son, Jesus Christ, I ask for this protection in Jesus’ name, AMEN.” Zachariah 2:5 “And I Myself will be a wall of fire around you,” declares the Lord, “and I will be your glory within.” Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.” Prayer: “Lord, remove every fear from my heart. Strengthen and uphold me with Your righteous hand.” Psalm 91:11 “He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.” Prayer: “Lord, command Your angels to watch over me and keep me safe from evil attacks.” Exodus: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Prayer: “Lord, fight my battles today and always. Protect me from every evil attack.”
