When people think "space tech" they imagine billionaires, or companies that have raised hundreds of millions, launching reusable rockets or deploying massive fleets of satellites. To the average person, space feels distant, mysterious and accessible only to a select few.
At Decen Space, we imagine a radically different future. We believe that the space economy, set to grow to three times its current size (nearly $2 trillion) by 2035, should be accessible to anyone and everyone.
Over 4500 satellites were launched into space last year, with the number increasing exponentially with launch capability. These satellites constantly need to talk to Earth. The pace they are launching is outstripping the historical growth of ground infrastructure. There is growing commercial pressure to secure access to antennas.
We believe this represents a tremendous economic opportunity. We imagine, and want to bring to life, a future where anyone with an antenna can participate in this trillion-dollar economy. All one would need is a few hundred dollars to start, and they’d be able to listen to the machines flying above us.
A truly decentralized space economy, where everyone participates and gets a share of the value generated.
