Reporters need to have the guts to ask these dipshits what they think about gay people. Make them stand by their bigotry instead of hiding behind bible verses
Several Giants players wrote Bible verses on their caps to respond to Pride Night. The gesture echoed a familiar pattern: making a night meant for inclusion about something else entirely. Read more for free, from @GrantBrisbee: nyti.ms/3Q23q8J

The idea that the ending of Disclosure Day is vague rather than clearly optimistic feels like that requires you to ignore the cinematic language being used. Just because the film doesn’t have someone explicitly tell you what happens after the end doesn’t mean it’s vague

I keep seeing people doing the whole “first comics I ever read” posts, and there’s no way that half of these people aren’t lying/just picking books because they can’t actually remember. Mine were almost certainly the Simpsons or Sonic comics they had at the grocery store

Man, Flair-Funk from the GAB ‘89 is such an incredible match. Flair cuts incredible promos both before and after, Terry Funk’s entrance feels like the end of the world, and they beat the absolute shit out of each other with an intensity that’s rare.

Working my way through the delightful Walking the King’s Road series, and Jumbo Tsuruta is quickly becoming one of my favorite wrestlers. Let us all find someone who loves us as much as Jumbo hates Misawa

Don’t know why everyone on here is so mad all the time. Do you not know how much 90s AJPW is on YouTube for free? You could be watching Stan Hansen wrestle Kenta Kobashi instead of arguing about the latest discourse

Lol. I hope all the dorks crying about the Dodgers and saying they’d give up games for a cap feel like the idiots they are
President Trump said Friday that Major League Baseball should have added a salary cap "a long time ago." "Don't they sort of have one?" The president has picked a side in baseball's labor talks: the owners'. nytimes.com/athletic/7336676…

Everyone in New York in LA is freaking out about not getting 70mm Odyssey tickets, meanwhile I effortlessly bought them from my local theater chain in Ohio. #midwestsupremacy

I’ve been able to overlook the multiple Knicks fans I follow so far, but I may need to block them if the Knicks win the title. New York sports fans and their teams are ontologically evil

It’s a testament to how great Mina the Hollower is that I spent absolutely no time at all comparing it to the GB Zelda games it’s clearly modeled after. It’s so good that it stands completely on its own.

The fact that video games can be altered after release is probably a net positive, but it’s resulted in having the absolute most entitled audience of any popular medium. The whining around every semi-difficult game is dreadful

The thing that’s truly awful about these is that for some reason, movie theaters play their trailers in front of everything.I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been exposed to these radioactively unfunny dorks against my will
Big fan of this new genre from the 2020s of comedian vanity projects that are awful and released wide to zero audience

Dislikes RotJ and Ewoks. Villeneuve haters grow stronger every day
Denis Villeneuve has no interest in making a Star Wars film • He was once obsessed with Star Wars — calling 'Empire Strikes Back' his most anticipated movie ever • Franchise was 'derailed' with 'Return of the Jedi' — 'it became a comedy for kids' • Dislikes the Ewoks to this day

Love that mid-90s WCW had “where the big boys play” as a slogan. It means wrestlers keep cutting promos where they talk about wanting to play with the big boys

Adaptation is an inherent quality of the superhero genre, and one of the things that make it worthwhile, and yet many readers are actively hostile to it because they like to decide a specific version of a character is the only one that “counts”
comics are such a uniquely frustrating medium to get into because you literally watch the characters you love drastically change or become shells of themselves because of poor & turbulent writing and theres nothing whatsoever you can do about it

Serviceable when working a match/program with someone that’s legitimately great, the drizzling shits when he’s supposed to be the “star”
REAL talk: what is your opinion of Triple H the wrestler, NOT Paul "Triple H" Levesque, the booker/head of creative?

Currently rereading From Hell and I’m discovering that some people don’t like the issue that explains the occult significance of London’s architecture and how the city itself is essentially a gun pointed at the head of every woman living in it. It’s the thesis of the whole book!

Let’s maybe not condemn every promising young actor to the superhero slop mines
I'd be down for Inde Navarrette to play Jessica Cruz in the 2nd Season of LANTERNS if she is included.

Goddamn That Yellow Bastard is incredible. I don’t know if Sin City is my favorite Miller work, but I think it’s the one that most exemplifies his whole deal

One of the best things about early 90s WCW is seeing the pre-crisis versions of a bunch of guys who would be stars by the end of the decade
