The polls for this by-election are all over the place.
But there is one trend and that trend is Andy Burnham winning and the right splitting.
If he wins I’d put good money on a General Election next year, if he has a honeymoon period as PM from this autumn.

🚨 SPACEX IS ABOUT TO REPEAT TESLA 2010
And nobody is ready for what will happen.
2010:
Tesla goes public.
$1.13 → $2.03
Everyone said the same thing:
“This is the future.”
“Elon is changing the world.”
Then came the part nobody talks about:
Tesla collapsed 50%.
$2.03 → $1.00
In days.
Now look at today:
2026:
– SpaceX just went public
– 30% from the IPO price at launch
– Biggest IPO in market history
– Everyone is calling it “the next Tesla”
But there’s one thing…
Tesla 2010:
- Small valuation
- Post-crash market
- Low expectations
- No trillion-dollar exit
SpaceX 2026:
- $1.75T IPO
- Retail access opened at the last second
- The stock market is at the most overvalued level in history
That is not the same opportunity.
Most people think Tesla 2010 means straight up forever:
Yes, Tesla pumped first.
Then it destroyed everyone who chased it.
That is the part they leave out.
Now SpaceX has the same Elon premium.
The same future narrative. But much worse timing.
So now you have two choices:
Chase the most expensive IPO in history after a 30% launch pump…
Or understand what Tesla 2010 already showed you.
Reminder: I’ve called all the market tops and bottoms for the last 15 years, including the Bitcoin bottom at $16,000 and the top at $126,000.
The next call will be even more important.

Three Predictions:
1. Some form of AI, probably neurosymbolic in nature, will come that is far more economical and data- and energy-efficient than LLMs, and it will make an absolute fortune.
2. LLMs, on the other hand, will never be all that profitable (aside from the chip companies selling shovels in the gold rush).
3. Today’s gigantic bets are premature, and most won’t pay off.

Enough is enough – if the Swedes can do it, why the hell can't we?
From 12 July, Sweden is slamming the brakes on the immigration free-for-all. Only temporary residence permits will be issued to asylum seekers and certain other immigrant groups. No more automatic path to permanent settlement.
This follows the Swedish parliament passing the government's bill on Tuesday. Temporary permits were already the standard there – now they're making it official policy by scrapping permanent residence permits entirely for these categories. Anyone who already holds a permanent one is unaffected, but the door is shutting for the new arrivals.
Why can Sweden face reality and tighten things up, but we keep rolling out the red carpet with no end in sight?
This isn't complicated. Countries that actually want to survive are starting to say "no more." Temporary protection means what it says: you're here while the emergency lasts, not for a lifetime of benefits and chain migration. Enough with the endless influx that's straining housing, services, and social cohesion to breaking point.
Time to stop pretending open borders are sustainable. If Sweden can do it, the rest of us have zero excuses left. Enough is enough.
