I agree with all this, but it still doesn’t hold a candle to the “hover over a window’s title bar juuuuussst riiiigghht to bring up a proxy icon” travesty as a violation of usability & discoverability rules.
The new tab design in Safari 15 for macOS makes usability worse and shows a complete disregard for the familiarity users had with Safari's previous tab design (@gruber / Daring Fireball)
