A double run day to fit around a Robin Hood Half Marathon training session with this brilliant bunch 💪 Started the day with 4 chatty miles alongside my mates & wife. Exactly what tired legs needed this morning 💚 Then another 4 miles this evening with an amazing group training for the Robin Hood Half. A tough route through Wollaton Park, including *that hill* - perfect race prep and hopefully confidence-boosting for race day 👌 Working with keen, enthusiastic and inspiring runners is my fave. parkrun (A) After a few weeks at home, no away day to tie into, and even a full lie-in last Saturday… a parkrun jolly was absolutely on the cards this morning 💛 I finally made it to Tamworth Castle’s version. After planning to do it many times before, leaving the decision until 8am really gave us no choice. Battered by the rain on the A453, it looked like it might be a washout… Thankfully, arriving at 8:55, we managed to find a gap in the clouds. 5k in cooler conditions felt good. Twisty and turny, it’s a great course. Another solid effort posted too, particularly after a congested start 💪 Post-run, we had a wander around the grounds - very pretty and picturesque, even under dull skies. Run done, pictures taken, parkrun pin in the bag. Saturday morning done well ✅ Coffee & croissant, back up the 42, with a new NENDY (nearest event not done yet) to chase down, somewhere in South Yorkshire 🧭 #justDOingit

4 years ago today, I got to meet this absolutely legend… magic, on & off the pitch 🙌 Not only did he let us see his play off winners medal & buy the whole pub a drink. He brought food to my house & made a very generous donation to a fundraiser I put on for the homeless 🙏 What a player too, what a guy ⭐️ #NFFC There definitely isn’t anyone, like Joe Lolley.
