Cavan out of the All Ireland without winning a game in Ulster or All Ireland series. It’s not doing them or any other teams any favours Cavan competing at this level. A B province should be set up with your Cavans, New Yorks, Londons etc. Winners allowed compete in Tailteann Cup.

In terms of quality, there’s not a huge amount between lots of the seeded and unseeded teams. Cavan obviously the glaring exception. You do feel for some of the counties playing Tailteann, while Cavan waste a spot in this draw.

That is the most dramatic 5 minutes of sport I’ve seen all year. Beggan getting the decision reversed. McCarron’s outrageous kick to bring it to extra time after Monaghan were 10 points down. Absolute scenes.

Monaghan won’t have learned too much by beating opposition as poor as Cavan. They didn’t have to move above first gear at all. Cavan better suited to The Tailteann Cup rather than The All Ireland series. #UlsterChampionship

Bohs have also published accounts for 2025 for their uefa licence. Like other clubs, very little P&L data publicly published but the club made a profit of €1.5m last year. Given the costs of running a full time side here, you can imagine what drove that.
