This 1 differentiation framework has saved me months of confusion as a growth and marketing strategist.
Not because it gives you more ideas, but rather because it forces you to remove the noise.
It’s called the ERRC framework:
> Eliminate:
Remove the "industry standard" things customers no longer care about.
> Reduce:
Cut down the features, costs, or processes that add complexity without adding value.
> Raise:
Double down on the few things customers actually notice, feel, and talk about.
> Create:
Introduce something new that the market didn’t know it needed yet.
Most positioning problems don’t come from a lack of ideas.
They come from treating every idea as equally important.
ERRC fixes that.
It shows you what to kill, what to shrink, what to amplify, and what to invent.
That’s how you stop sounding like everyone else and start building differentiation with intention.

So they use it to start conversations, farm engagement - they call it edutainment, vibeposting, shiposting, meanwhile, it's just a perspective deficiency.
Comparison is the thief of joy, and it's killing the way people see this space.
There's only a handful of real projects left now, and instead of appreciating that, people spend all day comparing them against each other.
It's pointless.
Every project is playing its own game, with its own playbook, doing what makes sense for them.
Two projects can grow and scale at the exact same time without one having to lose for the other to win.
This goes for communities too, you can be a part of more than one, and honestly you should be.
It's how you grow, meet more people, make friends and end up pulling others into diff communities along the way.
But instead you get these engagement farming posts comparing two projects side by side, repurposing the same tired garbage to an audience that doesn't even read it.
People take it at face value, form an opinion off one post, and never bother looking any deeper.
The projects thriving right now are doing incredible things every single day.
That deserves its own praise on its own merit.
You don't have to tear one down to lift another up, and you definitely don't have to pick a side like you're only allowed to belong to one place.
Form your own thesis, be a part of as many communities as you want, and find home wherever you find it.
Stop feeding the comparison slop.
