I'd written Rust before, but always inside Anchor on Solana where macros hide the language. This matching engine was my first time in raw Rust.
Got it working, then rewrote it the way Rust wants.

This one just felt weird at first glance: Reverse().
To sort my bids high-to-low I keyed the map by Reverse(price). But Reverse<Price> is a different type from Price, so every lookup, insert, and remove has to wrap it. The wrapper leaks to every call site that touches a key.

Why? Rust's BTreeMap has no comparator arg like C 's std::map. The idiomatic fix is a newtype that flips Ord. Clean and zero-cost, but the type shows up everywhere.
That's the whole theme: Rust makes a decision visible that TS lets you hide.
