my colleague bought a clean foreign used corolla last month before that, we used to take the same staff bus every morning, complaining about the bus ac together ​last week, the staff bus broke down completely along the highway the driver came out, popped the bonnet, and told us to start coming down ​everyone was groaning and stepping into the sun some people started waving down passing cars others were already calling anyone they knew with a vehicle ​as i stepped out of the bus, i saw my colleague drive past in his corolla ​for a second i thought he might stop ​he didn't ​maybe he didn't see us ​maybe he did ​either way, he kept going ​by the time i got to the office, i was sweaty, tired, and already annoyed at the day ​he was at his desk drinking nescafe ​when he saw me, he said ​"you people finally made it?" ​i said yes ​he laughed ​"ah, that bus finally gave up?" ​then he turned back to his laptop
