Athletic Banquet 2024 is now complete. Thanks to Mr. Crossland, Mr. Butler, Mr. Cullihall, and Mr. Valanne who pulled of a great night! It was a packed house as students were recognized for their accomplishments.

Days 3 & 4 were packed. Students learned about the battle on the Plains of Abraham, visited the Legislature, ate at the Cabane a Sucre, & learned about the Huron-Wendat people & traditions. Fun fact, “hello” in Wolastoqey and Iroquoian sounds the same but is spelled differently.

Grade 8 Quebec trip 2024! Day 1 included a visit to old Quebec, and to watch Les Capitales play baseball. Day 2 started with a tour of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre Basilica, followed by a walk on the suspension bridge over the Mont Montmorency Falls and then fun at Bora Parc!

Congratulations to Kenzie Moore who is a finalist in the 2024 Canadian Art Inspiration Student Challenge for her art piece “Curling”. This is a Canadian-wide competition for students in Grades 7-9. Kenzie’s work will be showcased in ACI’s online catalogue and gallery! WTG!!

Staff versus the captains of the DHL. Staff pulled out a win! There were lots of smiles during the games! Thanks to everyone for another great season of the Devon Hockey League.

The Devon Hockey League season has come to an end. Thanks to Mr. Butler and Mr. Cullihall for keeping this tradition alive at DMS! Students join a team when they start in grade 6. The Oilers have a 3 peat, winning their 3rd DHL in a row defeating the Canadiens 6-2 in the final.
