The US should not trap itself in a long war with Iran. This war will not go our way unless there is a regime change. All other options are long term drag and trap. History shows that Iran will never give up. China and Russia would love to trap the US in a long war like Ukraine.
I don’t know who came up with strategy, but blockading the Strait of Hormuz is the most effective brilliant policy that the US used to potentially end the war. Iran started it and get trapped in it!
