Delighted to announce that I've signed a contract with @nostarch for this book.
I'll be working on R Without Statistics this year and hope to have it out in 2023!
Here's my pitch for what the book is and why it's needed. 🧵

I'm extremely proud and happy to announce that in March I received a scholarship for R 3 in Months Course by @rfortherest thanks to @dgkeyes and Charlie Hadley. I want to express my appreciation for this amazing program, which is helping me in significant professional growth.
I chatted with @dgkeyes about some of the ways R was used as part of NZ's Covid-19 response. It turns out it was a bit of a ramble through the '@dflydsci way' - principles of data analysis that I learnt at Dragonfly and continue to use @nzherald.
Learn about the role R played in New Zealand's COVID response. At the peak of the pandemic, Chris Knox (@vizowl) led an analytics team focused on the country’s COVID response.

In totally unrelated news, I couldn't get my own code to generate parameterized reports working for an hour today because I was using walk() when I should have been using pwalk().
⚕️Another great demo for #RMed2023! David Keyes (@dgkeyes), CEO and Founder of @rfortherest, will be presenting on “From One Report, Many: Using Parameterized Reporting to Generate Dozens, Hundreds, or Thousands of Reports at the Same Time.” #Rstats ➡️ events.linuxfoundation.org/r…

I had a great time chatting with @dgkeyes on the @rfortherest Podcast!
We discussed the origins of tidycensus, the role of the #rstats community in encouraging innovation, and what I learned from my early struggles with R.

ALT Joke that says: "You are going through a series of lessons that teach about tidy data. It is a seemingly simple concept, but ends up being pivotal (dad joke alert!) in helping you to use R efficiently."
I'm working in a GitHub repository. I can't @ mention one of the other contributors (their username doesn't show up when I type @). Anyone know why this might be happening?
