GAME #1: DYNAMIC PREP (TX) vs RICHMOND HEIGHTS (OH)
The opening game of the weekend is a star studded match-up with numerous Division I talents on each side. Richmond Heights returns their trio of 2025 Division I commits in Dorian Jones (Ohio State), DeErick Barber Jr (UTEP) and Demarris Winters Jr (UTRGV). This trio has won 3 consecutive state championships and are attempting to become the first team in OHSAA history to win a 4th straight state championship. The Spartans are no strangers to this event, beating Westminster Academy last year and Cincinnati Fairfield in 2023 inside Trent Arena.
They’ll have their hands full with one of the most talented teams in the country in Dynamic Prep, led by 6 time NBA all star Jermaine O’Neal as their head coach. O’Neal has a lot of talent with this roster led by SMU commits Jaden Toombs and his son Jermaine O’Neal Jr. Dynamic Prep also has Leroy Kelly IV (Oral Roberts), Jacobe Coleman (Sam Houston State) and Carlsheon Young (uncommitted) in their 2025 class. Dynamic Prep also has Ryan Hampton and Marcus Spears Jr on their roster, both ranked in the top 10 in the class of 2027. Hampton’s older brother RJ was a first round pick in the 2020 NBA draft while Spears' father Marcus was an all American defensive end at LSU. Safe to say this should be one of the most exciting games of the weekend.
