Testing the OptiPew Aimbot end to end using real hardware, still a few bugs left.
Glad I didn’t try to add a range finder to the MVP requirements, hardware integration is time consuming.

I tried to work on OptiPew today, but hit a wall.
Turns out working nonstop for 7 months might have burnt me out a bit.
This whole being in my 40’s thing is annoying.

You should build your own antennas.
Or bare minimum, test and modify commercial antennas.
Most assume commercial antennas are better than anything you can build yourself, but this is largely incorrect.
Commercial antennas are mostly low quality and built to be “okay” for a wide range of uses and frequencies.
Optimizing for your use case will almost always improve performance.

Here’s the progression from the version one prototype to the version two prototype. There might even be a version three but I think version two with proper enclosure on the front and back will be enough.

Could be worse, $2,500 to file my patent application.
By doing this pro se, I’m saving roughly $20k but using my limited time.
It’s unfortunate that I dont qualify for micro entity status because it’s based on 2025 tax returns when I was still employed by red streaming co.

If you have to pick 4 gun tuber’s who aren’t giant and would be willing to do a video on a demo OptiPew prototype, who would you suggest?
I still have to put the enclosure on the current prototype and the patent needs to filed. But then plan is to build 4 more and loan them out.
The goal is to get feedback and show it off, but also build some industry hype before shopping the IP to the big sporting goods companies.

I need to be able to code, solder, and assemble with easy access to 4-8 firearms, why is this so difficult?
