AI (and specifically Robotics) has to be one of the most cutting-edge fields, requiring advanced knowledge, training and education.
Here's a robotics startup based in San Jose (one of the most expensive areas of the country) with a $30/hr contract job requiring people in office Mon-Fri.
To put in perspective, you could probably earn similar at a San Jose grocery store.

Time and time again, the "rent vs buy" debate looks simple on the surface but is apples to oranges underneath.
They make it look like you can get the exact same house either renting or buying for the same price, when buying the exact same unit with amenities normally would be 2.5-3x the price.
