In the inner city we are proud of being Irish. We are lucky to have some of Ireland's finest athletes from our area. We also are lucky to have such a diverse and multicultural population, which brings great dynamism & energy to our community!!

I’m horrified by the actions of the 2 men in Drogheda which put at risk residents of an Ipas centre which included children & a baby. I’m deeply sad for the victims & the perpetrators of this act of hatred. What would make two men in their 20’s do this? Who wounded them first?
I came to Ireland 25 years ago & been a proud Irish citizen since 2010. The sight of the Irish flag would fill me with a sense of warmth & pride of the country I call home. How is it that now when I see the flag everywhere in my neighbourhood I’m filled with fear & anxiety?
So I took part in a reality show to create awareness & bring compassion to the difficult issues facing Ireland today. Housing crisis, homelessness, rise of hatred/racism/homophobia/transphobia - we are at crossroads. We can be better!@VirginMediaIE #dinnerwiththeenemy
85% of Gaza is now occupied. This “humanitarian city” Netanyahu is planning in Rafah, is a centre that people will be moved into and not be allowed to leave. Let’s call it what it is, a concentration camp.
Listening to the courageous Dr Morgan McGonagle on @morningireland . Surely we can fast-track visas for the siblings of the sick children in Gaza approved for travel for emergency care in Ireland? @SimonHarrisTD ❤️
300 Irish social, health and care services are demanding the Irish government [@MichealMartinTD ,@SimonHarrisTD, @dfatirl , @CharlieFlanagan ] to act urgently to:
1. Pass the Occupied Territories Bill
2. Enforce meaningful sanctions
3. Prevent arms from being transported in Irish airspace
At Ireland’s Trauma Informed Conference, we have come together to discuss how we can build fair, effective services for marginalised and traumatised communities across Ireland. But how can we pursue this goal and remain silent on one of the biggest traumatic events of our time?
This is a defining moment. Ireland has the opportunity to lead by standing up for justice and human rights. We urge our leaders to take a stand—use your voice to make this change happen now.

Contact your local TDs and urge them to support immediate action on the Occupied Territories Bill. It’s crucial for Ireland to take a stand for human rights and peace. Ministers count the number of inputs they get on each issue—let’s keep emailing to make sure this stays at the top of their agenda.

“People in recovery become better than well” - Prof. Jo Hanna Ivers in the context of working with people with substance addictions. Recovery really is possible and we need to hold that in mind. Such an inspiring talk. #tipcon24#traumainformed
“We need to invert power structures around who says what is good. The people who should decide what a trauma-informed service is, should be our service users.”* – Dr. Hurley
Jennifer Brandt and Dr. Emma Hurley shared powerful insights about shifting power dynamics and putting service users at the centre of trauma-informed practices:
“In my personal opinion, there was no rehabilitative program in prison.”* – Jennifer Brandt, highlighting the importance of rehabilitation in the justice system.
- *“That is why in Trauma Informed Practice Ireland, we have developed standards and a peer review system that puts clients at the centre, as trained and paid reviewers.”* – Dr. Hurley
Jennifer and Dr. Hurley’s session underlined the importance of empowering service users to shape and evaluate the services that affect them, ensuring that trauma-informed practice truly reflects their needs and experiences.
