What an incredible few days in Ireland during the @EPPGroup Study Days!
It was a fantastic time filled with important discussions on Europe’s future, strong exchanges of ideas, and real engagement on the challenges and opportunities ahead for our Union.
A huge thank you to our Irish hosts for their outstanding hospitality, warmth and rich culture. You made this visit truly special.
Leaving Ireland inspired, energised and more convinced than ever of the strength of European cooperation. 🇪🇺🤝
A pleasure to meet Tánaiste & Finance Minister @SimonHarrisTD at the Eurogroup Mtg. I thanked him for Ireland’s strong support for IMF capacity building. As Ireland prepares for its upcoming EU Presidency, we discussed managing risks from global fragmentation & energy security.
Honoured to meet Tánaiste @SimonHarrisTD in Dublin. 🇮🇪
A constructive exchange on @EU_EESC's cooperation with the Irish EU Presidency and on Exploratory Opinions on affordable housing, the Single Market and democratic participation.
I look forward to the collaboration.
Great to meet Simon Harris, Tánaiste, Minister for Finance and leader of Fine Gael.
With Ireland taking over the Presidency of the Council of the EU next month, Europe has an opportunity to advance its key priorities: security, competitiveness, migration and stronger transatlantic ties.
Europe needs pragmatic leadership and ambitious solutions. Ireland will play a crucial role in shaping the agenda.

The best ideas often emerge when people come together.
The EPP Group Study Days are more than politics. They are about bringing people together, learning from one another, and building the relationships that help us tackle Europe's challenges as one team.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of former IRFU chief executive Philip Browne.
Philip gave almost three decades of his life to Irish rugby and the game in this country is undoubtedly better for it.
Under his leadership, Irish rugby navigated the most transformative period in its history with the transition to professionalism that helped raise the profile of the game massively in this country.
His impact on the game and by extension Irish sport is a proud -
and enduring legacy of his.
I extend my deepest sympathies to his family, his friends and everyone in the Irish rugby community.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
It was with sadness that I learned of the passing of Ernie Caffrey, a former Fine Gael senator and councillor, who served his community in Ballina, Co Mayo and the party with distinction for many years.
My full statement:
Today marks 30 years since Detective Garda Jerry McCabe was taken from his family, his colleagues and his community in the most brutal and senseless of circumstances.
I want to pay tribute to a dedicated servant of this State who gave his life in the line of duty.
Statement:
I welcome the latest US proclamation on steel and aluminium tariffs. Irish manufacturers of agricultural machinery and forklifts should be positively impacted. I understand how significant the pressures are on this sector.
I’ve known Sean Kyne for 20 years. He’s a fantastic public representative and will be a positive, strong voice for Galway and the West of Ireland as a TD.
VOTE NUMBER 1 SEÁN KYNE today!
