working with agents on a problem that you understand better than them is so different from the problem that you understand worse. Fable has shifted this balance yet again. I don't much enjoy the feeling of agents being better than me.

Finally, lol! Dunno if @conductor_build listened to my feedback or just arrived at the same conclusion
My life would be so much better if @conductor_build added "Fork to new tab" feature (essentially facilitating threaded discussions, kinda).

I feel like the biggest bottleneck to agentic coding is automated learning. All attempts to make them maintain any form of memory file quite quickly lead to context bloat. So humans end up being context managers, which is not where I wanted to see myself end up.

Too many developers don't understand what "compounding slop" is. A loop that prompts agents is a great way to automate slop creation. Constrain the state-action space so the loop can't drift, then automate inside it. Human-in-the-loop = feature, not bottleneck.

are we going to see breakthroughs in agentic development this year? or is it going to be just a gradual evolution? e.g. the Opus 4.5 level breakthroughs is what I'm talking about.

This pretty much sums up the state of AI right now.
Codex spent 13 hours porting Athena Crisis to the Nintendo Switch. Honestly hard to believe. It supports most gameplay features correctly, is playable, and looks decent. Lots of bugs, and I will throw this away, but feeling extremely inspired right now.

My very common workflow: I ask the agent to do a review, or some issues pop up during a conversation. I want to be able to work on each of the issues that poped up in parallel, but as part of the same branch/workspace. Surprised nobody talks about this obvious omission.

My expectations from modern web apps: - once in a while I'd need to reload the page to fix the page state - there'd be no meaningful error handling, so I'd need to keep the Network tab open in order to debug the request failures - I might need to clear cookies and local storage

this. initially I didn't see the skill of using coding agents as a skill that would scale with the number of hours you invest into it. so far it seems it's uncapped.

i have seen enough proof now that using a coding agent is a deep skill it's confusing because the people you see heavily using them produce horrible results but that's because it's a skill! you can get better and the ceiling seems pretty high - this is very exciting to me

In Nov25=>Jan26 the way I write changed more than in 20 years before that. But in last half a year it barely changed at all. When is the next inflection point?
