huge fan of when a book is in the middle of an exciting plot, then suddenly pauses to explain something completely unrelated in detail, says ‘anyway,’ and goes back to the chaos. now i’m just stuck in suspense knowing it’s going to matter later
the fact that the internet these days is full of false standards and if you’re not careful you start believing a distorted version of reality and chasing expectations that aren’t even real
be willing to look useless. let them see you as inferior. let them judge you. it’s better than being blamed and called a disappointment. better to be underestimated than to not be enough
