Chillaborate, verb: to do productive work with others while having fun. Used in a sentence: "My coworker and I chillaborated during our kayaking 1-on-1 meeting today." AKA my new favorite hobby. Holla at me if you want to chillaborate! #chillaborate #chillaboration

Ok I officially feel called out 😅 I analyzed some of my recent writing to break down elements of my brand voice. It feels like one of those “personality tests” but for the AI age 😊 ❔ What word do you think would be first on your list if you did this analysis?

I thought I was terrible at axe-throwing. Axe after axe missed the mark. All of my coworkers succeeded again and again, and I started to think I wasn't cut out for it. Until I tried a different shaped axe.

Suddenly, even though my approach was unconventional, I was hitting the target every time. In this blog post I discuss how even when the standard technique does not work for us, we can still hit the mark. And how important it is to choose the right axe.

Tea time is a concrete way to be more inclusive of folks' preferred beverage choices dinalevitan.com/post/the-cas…

Replying to @tmu
Another fun thing from the end of the talk: it was my colleague Dina who authored the SRE-tea proposal and galvanized SRE at Google to be much more inclusive in our beverages. I enjoy Whiskey. I also enjoy the company of many people who don't drink. More options is better.

Fun podcast that @drkurta that I includes the story where my colleague Mark makes >4 liters of coffee for me and I try to drink it (out of the cup over there <---- ). Also we talk about SRE for ML and some tricky questions. Happy to accept corrections and even quibbles.

D'you run a system that you'd like to stay up? D'you have users you want to keep happy? How can you manage that, when all complex systems break sometimes? Well, let's talk about that; I have a few thoughts, and plenty of examples, tomorrow at 10:00am PST.

In a Cloud-enabled world, reliability *is* the product. And since reliability is the product, we need to be thinking about reliability engineering with a product engineering mindset. Excellent new article from @joans

I wrote an article about how reliability engineering tools can be improved if you stop thinking of them as “tools” and start thinking of them as “products” for other engineers. Check it out: ieee.org/content/dam/ieee-or…
