@dionevn @LawrenceGS is one of the hardest-working builders I know in the Indonesia crypto exchange space (along with all the OGs of CEX), who has helped shape the market and regulation. With this public news, I publicly congratulate them on being acquired / partnering with @Bybit_Official and @benbybit for this huge Bybit announcement in Indonesia. Why is this important to acknowledge? Indonesia is a huge market. While regulation is evolving, many local players have shown strength in shaping local regulation with clarity — it takes a bigger global player to enter and bring more innovation into the crowded market for 10–25 million crypto traders in the country. I tried to do this with @coinbase and @brian_armstrong a few years ago, very early, brave, and we passed before we focused on onchain products like BASE. Global commitment to a local market like Indonesia is a very important signal of how asymmetric the bet can be for the organization — something bigger than itself. Eventually, all big players will enter the market, organically or inorganically, depending on the size and priority of the organization. For Coinbase back then, it was no longer a top priority but on the watchlist. Bybit Indonesia, with @LawrenceGS, @dionevn, and @benbybit’s blessing, I wish you the very best of luck. Despite not being an Indonesian company or serving Indonesia-specific use cases, but a global borderless nation, I am very sure SANA will become one of the most important innovations, just like Bybit, in the next few years.
