Well said by the Chair of the Bar here
We welcome the reopening of Harrow Crown Court after nearly three years. As our Chair, @Kirsty_Brimelow said: "Focus should be on opening courts with sufficient staff... instead of draining resources into cutting jury trials which is the only part of the system that is still working.โ€ Claire Davies KC, criminal silk and Leader of @SECircuit, said: "Its 8 courtrooms will once again be in service to help tackle court backlogs. This now frees up the Courts at Hendon Magistrates and others on Circuit, creating more capacity which we hope to see being utilised at this crucial time with immediate effect.โ€ #JusticeNeedsJuries Read more: bit.ly/4mEafcr

Good luck to all having a pupillage interview today no matter where you are in the country. Just remember the panel will want you to be the best you can be. They have all sat in your position years ago, just imagine you will be on the other side of the table in a few years time.

Setting out the rapid advancement of AI and the rise in online violence against women and girls, Baljinder Bath (4PB) and Sophie Mitchell (St Pauls Chambers) call for family lawyers to work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues across other practice areas to support victims of technology-facilitated sexual violence, and explore how these risks can be mitigated in their article for LexisNexis Family Law Journal.
