Does the amount that Amazon uses AWS versus Google using GCP matter in your opinion? From the outside, it seems like Google Cloud is for “others”, while Amazon heavily eats their own dogfood, e.g.:

These events are useful for all. It shows even with distributed architectures you have service dependencies that create a weakness in the chain. The positive is they will be patching to strengthen that chain and improving to be more resilient post today.
