Given how front and center design is these days, I am still shocked that there is no “code of conduct” or guide to ethical design principles. I had my students write the Designers “Hippocratic Oath” and am sort of in love with what they came up with!

Engineering analogies have always helped me grasp new concepts. Recently, I've been applying this to be more mindful.

Consumer social is on a cycle that resets every ~5 years - long enough for a new crop of builders to come in, previous generations to age out of their youth, and social norms to evolve aggressively.
