May the people of Iran be free of this murderous regime. I feel proud to be the son of an Israeli today, and all days.

I urge all Canadians to do what is best for them. Things are bad, I know this. It could be worse. It could be USA where your synagogue gets more severely attacked. Have hope. Itโ€™s on the way. Believe me
If @realDonaldTrump offers a plan to come south for Jewish Canadians to ensure a safe and peaceful life, Canada will lose thousands of great citizens and billions of dollars. This is a big weekend. Things may be different come Monday depending on how the Walk For Israel goes. Prayers it goes well.

Another synagogue in Canada was attacked. Itโ€™s time for action. What say you, @liberal_party?

Donโ€™t confuse the Leafs being talked about constantly and consistently with being the Mecca of hockey. When I think of Meccas in sport, I think of the Yankees, Lakers, Patriots, etc. Habs are the Mecca of hockey. Thereโ€™s no denying it.

I havenโ€™t watched football for a long time, but Iโ€™ve seen a lot of it in a short time. Believe me when I say Gabriel is one of the greatest young left-footed Centre-Backs of Iโ€™ve ever seen. Weโ€™ve been supportive of him, and that I believe is one of the reasons why
โค๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Gabriel Magalhรฃes on missing the decisive penalty in the Champions League final: โ€œI felt terrible. I felt like I had let my teammates down. For a moment, I felt worthless. But what happened afterwards surprised me. The love and support from Arsenal fans was beyond anything I could have imagined. The staff, my teammates, everyone at the club stood by me. But the fans were incredible. They bought my shirt, shared messages of support, created pictures and videos, and flooded social media with encouragement. They reminded me that mistakes are part of football and that one moment does not define a person or a season. I will never forget the love you showed me during one of the hardest moments of my career. Thank you, Arsenal family. โค๏ธ

I understand Jews are afraid. I would know cuz Iโ€™m one of them. We should not run from our fears, we need to face them head on. As a Canadian, I just canโ€™t get behind this messageโ€ฆyet. We must not run. We must stand and fight for what was built for us.
Carney had nothing new to announce about stopping antizionist hate. So why did he even bother? What I'm hearing: because he heard Trump is planning to humiliate him by announcing a refugee program for Canadian Jews, like he did for Afrikaners. Carney was getting ahead of it.

Only then will we have a Canada that is once again the Canada we all remember.

To all the female journalists in hockey: @KenzieTSN @cherylpounder Jen Botterill. @hailey_salvian @SaraCivian @RachelKryshak @shaynagoldman_ and others Iโ€™m missing, I find all your work provides another perspective to menโ€™s hockey. And that should be acknowledged. Thank you!

Look. I get it. Jews and Muslims fear each other. I know because Iโ€™m Jewish and I still fear terrorist Muslims. Itโ€™s time we face our fears and open the conversation towards helping people face these fears. We can only change people by changing how we behave towards them.

The owners should decide who the next Commissioner is. I believe they ratify the decision. If the new commissioner is one that would like to change the format and the owners approve the hiring choice, then it may happen. Nothing is going to change until this happens.
Bettman once again defends wild card playoff format as producing closer games, more games and "more entertaining games" than a 1-thru-8 playoff format. "Under this format, you get more 6-7 games series than you do under 1-through-8. It's not clear cut a change is called for."

Smart idea at the end. Thank u for this @DanielBordmanOG. I needed to hear a Jewish voice that actually has the balls to speak the truth and mean what they say. To all Jews out there who voted for the Liberal Party: Take a good long look at the mirror. U know what uโ€™ve done
Jewish inside baseball talk: Iโ€™m not mad at Mark Carney for being Mark Carney and appointing a bunch of career antisemites to a committee to fight antisemitism that will be used to target Jews like me. He is a European social constructionist elitist to his core, he will always have a lingering hostility because of the dissonance we cause him. My anger is towards @holyblossom for enabling this obvious farce to take place. Another puffed up putz of a cantor gleeful in his self importance, a feckless rabbi who defaults into obsequious court Jew instead of proud leader. At this point, I would love to go on a rant about female rabbis ruining everything, and this one could fuel an entire power point presentation, but that would imply that there are competent male rabbis to counter balance their example. There is not. We have a cataclysmic failure of the entire rabbinate here in Canada. Honestly, what do they do? Nothing. Granted, that is better than the self appointed โ€œcommunity leadersโ€ and major organizations that are actively harmful. Why should anyone respect the Jewish community when our leaders and institutions donโ€™t even respect themselves? Donโ€™t like what Iโ€™m saying because your rabbi is one of the good ones, he isnโ€™t some gender studies communist and wouldnโ€™t have allowed this. Fair enough, Iโ€™m willing to believe it. There are a bunch of rabbis that I personally like as well. But I will continue to bully them until they actually do something productive. Here is idea 1 out of 1000 that they could easily pull off: Get 5 Rabbis to write a criticism of Carneyโ€™s speech/committee for the obvious reasons and then declare that you are going to go to Ottawa on a specific date to have a meeting with Mark Carney and the Liberal Party on their role in enabling the antisemitism crisis they now admit is happening. If you have enough balls to follow through and go to parliament hill and make clear that the meeting would be on these terms, Omar Alghabra would be removed from the antisemitism commission instantly.

Iโ€™m a Toronto Habs fan. This take is wildly inappropriate. Theyโ€™re young adults who just played well overall in the playoffs, maybe not the last round. I used to be a Tim & Sid-izen. I moved to @OverDrive1050 years ago. Glad I saw the light.
Some thoughts on the Habs leadership core being on full display at the Luke Combs concert in Montreal Saturday... #sick #thesidseixeiroshow @Sid_Seixeiro

I know Iโ€™m gonna get a lot of flack for this, but Iโ€™d rather give up Dobes than Fowler. The only reasons are Fowler is younger, PROJECTED to be better and IMO, I believe he will be better. Letโ€™s capitalize on Dobeลกโ€™ value. Everything else I can live with
To MTL: McDavid To EDM: Hage, Zharovsky, Guhle, Fowler, 1st 2027 There's not many teams that can offer two top 10 prospects in the world and give McJesus the AAV he wants on his next deal Losing Guhle would hurt but you gotta give to get. Dobes for me makes Fowler expendable

This makes me really sad, especially the next tweet on @EricEngels timeline about him having to leave the scrum to gather his emotions. But also, Gallagher seems like a loyal guy and the @CanadiensMTL want to keep him, but unfortunately heโ€™s been edged out, forcing their hand
Brendan Gallagher, very emotional, says โ€œitโ€™s pretty clear Iโ€™ll be moving on here.โ€

I have an interesting story about Steve that I think some people would like to know and donโ€™t know about the guyโ€ฆ
Oh for three - but thanks for coming PS - when Phaneuf was announcing his retirement, he picked a journalist to break the story. Me.

Why do i bring this up? Because Steve was involved in minor hockey at the grassroots level at some point in his life. He knows puck more than you probably think. Is he likeable? Maybe notโ€ฆ

But I see a lot of people dismiss him just because he can be abrupt, rude, etc. Or his takes are controversial. I donโ€™t agree with all of his methods, but some of the things he says make sense to me. Just a story I had and wanted to share about @simmonssteve

This is police brutality, full stop. He was walking away from confrontation and they *chased after him* and assaulted him with excessive force. Will government condemn and investigate it? #cdnpoli
This is what happened to a man for walking freely in a residential Quebec neighbourhood that was overrun by extremists. Antizionism is a hate movement that impacts everyone, not just Jews.

Iโ€™ve done a lot of reflection about my previous thoughts about this subject with some insight from @HabsFentCzar and I personally believe based on the things Iโ€™ve heard, mainly that Carter has shown no signs of remorse for his, IMO, gross misconduct on that nightโ€ฆ
How Carter Hart's on ice play doesn't vindicate him this playoff run isn't a redemption arc. More on this week's Too Many Men podcasts.apple.com/us/podcasโ€ฆ open.spotify.com/show/4sLq1Sโ€ฆ youtu.be/_KbxWxfq1R4 Read @SaraCivian's substack here: thecivreport.substack.com/p/โ€ฆ

Just wanted to mention another thing that changed my POV on this: Iโ€™ve followed @SaraCivianโ€™s work for quite some time. I donโ€™t always agree with her but I know sheโ€™s passionate about her work. I could feel the passion she has about this come through the screen in the clipโ€ฆ

Usually, when passion like that comes through, I believe IMO that thereโ€™s at least some truth, maybe all truth, but definitely truth is there. You just need to look for it. And believe.
