31 years coaching high school football. I still found time to attend my kids school and sporting events, take my wife on dates, start and run a business, be a foster dad to 24 kids and….win a bunch of football games, send athletes to play collegiate football, play for championships, and maintain a winning culture with a great staff. How? Hire great people, delegate responsibilities, raise up team leaders, no meetings on Saturdays, leverage technology, build repeatable, teachable systems. When other staffs are meeting for 10 hours. We meet for 2. When others run practice for 3 hours, we push 90 minutes, when others have a playbook 1,000 pages long, we have 5 run concepts, 10 pass concepts and a great kicker! Make it simple. Keep it simple.
