I was just informed I have received a promotion to the highest rank as a full professor!!! Currently only 1% of full professors in country are Latina. This needs to change!!! Hoping to see many more former students finishing up theirs doctorates too 🥰

At the migrant@parent meeting at Rigler School. How wonderful to have a bilingual superintendent that can engage with a community who sometimes feels ignored. Shout out to Kathy Gaitan and her team for their great event. We clearly heard the work we need to do!

Great day presenting to educators from New York State on that age old questions - how to differentiate language differences from disabilities. Very important here since in NYC 25% of all English learners are in special education - they are over identified.
