Sonio Detect is an AI-powered ultrasound scanning technology with the potential to revolutionize healthcare access in underserved areas. While it can be beneficial, it should complement, not replace, a sonographer and ultrasound reader’s expertise. fxn.ws/47gat19
I love speaking and inspiring others to be the best forms of themselves. Today, I presented grand rounds at @dartmouth on Achieving Health Equity Through Advocacy. Without embracing organizational equity, we cannot achieve whole health.
I am so upset with @MOHELA right now. I submitted my application for #PSLF SINCE NOV 2022! On MARCH 8,2023 I discovered my application was cancelled because my NHSC SCHOLARSHIP job post had me work as a contractor due to ÇA state laws. They said to submit my tax returns…
I called my old accountant, who miraculously still had my returns from over 10years ago. I submit and upload the files on 3/8/23. The worker reopened my file along with the taxes that proved my NHSC status as an approved site, my taxes, etc. I just check my status again and
My application is CANCELLED!!! I am beyond upset. How can my application be invalid if I worked at an NHSC approved site? Erasing that 5.5 years of time and not updating my counts is costing me financial freedom. Make it make sense.
For decades, the Supreme Court recognized a college’s freedom to decide how to build a diverse student body and provide opportunity.
Today, the Court walked away from precedent, effectively ending affirmative action in higher education.
I strongly disagree with this decision.
The Supreme Court ruling signing away #affirmativeaction is a direct attack on BIPOC across the country. America cannot heal from its deliberate acts of strategic and categorical racialized domestic terror without having a direct reckoning of its offenses
or attempts to silence melanated bodies… people like me will continue to speak up, speak out, and speak against inequity and racism that impedes the health and well-being of all.
One thing about cancer is that it creates havoc on everything around it. The rot seeps into healthy tissue. So does racism. Its effects drain life and vitality from everyone, and has metastasized into every defined system in this country. We cannot be complacent. We must not.
The healthcare system has created a toxic environment for primary care professionals. The very solution to our country’s problems are subject to traumatic assaults to the vitality of their practice.
On Thursday I testified before the Senate Finance Committee. The hearing was called “Consolidation and Corporate Ownership in Health Care: Trends and Impacts on Access, Quality, and Costs.” I wrote about our statement and our advocacy in this blog.

If primary care positively affects health outcomes, patient well-being and health care spend in a system that gaslights it routinely, imagine what would happen when given the tools, freedom and recognition to spread our wings! #wellnessmatters for docs too
Studies show that when black patients are cared for by black physicians, their life expectancy is higher. Maternal mortality also goes down.
