Heavenly Father, our rock and our refuge in times of sorrow, we come before You with heavy hearts today.
You are the God who sees every tear and knows the pain of loss, as Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18 that You are near to the brokenhearted.
We lift up the eight crewmembers who died in the B-52 bomber crash at Edwards Air Force Base.
These brave men served our nation with courage and duty.
Comfort their families and loved ones who now face this deep grief.
Wrap them in Your peace that passes all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.
Give them strength to endure this trial and the assurance that those who trust in You are never truly lost.
Lord, we thank You for the lives these airmen lived and for their willingness to serve.
May their sacrifice remind us of the cost of freedom and the value of every soul made in Your image.
Help us to honor their memory by living with faith and purpose.
We ask for Your healing touch on all who mourn, the first responders at the scene, and the entire military community.
Guide the investigation so that answers may bring some measure of closure.
Turn this sorrow into a deeper reliance on Your unfailing love.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and the one who conquered death, we pray.
Amen.
