Purpose Ventures backs Caligra. Another strong signal for the future Caligra is building. Designing a new operating system, and the c100 Developer Workbench reference machine. Built for experts. As Caligra’s first investor, Euphemia backed the team since day one and introduced both Blackbird and Purpose Ventures. If you’re serious about your craft, the c100 is available now, and Caligra’s Workbench OS is free to download: caligra.com/c100/ businessnews.com.au/article/…

Big moment for @triplebubble_vc, great to see our first close covered in the @FinancialReview. $10m raised in <9 months, in one of the toughest VC markets in a decade. Why this matters: ▪️~80% of Aussie fintechs >$10m have no local VC ▪️Avg local VC ownership is just ~3.9% ▪️~1/3 of founders say access to capital is their biggest constraint We’re building Triple Bubble to change that. Proud to have x15ventures | @CommBank as a cornerstone investor and a growing base of operators backing operators: ▪️38% fintech founders ▪️30% women (vs ~14% industry avg) Also incredibly grateful to have @bfeld as an investor & mentor. His belief in what we’re building, and in me as a first-time fund manager, means a lot. “Many of the strongest venture returns come from first-time managers with a clear POV… Triple Bubble fits that pattern.” We’re just getting started. 🔗 afr.com/technology/cba-backs…

Lots of comments on Poppy’s announcement today saying “dream team” and “back together again”… and they’re not wrong. Poppy and I spent years building Australia’s largest startup community at Startup Vic. After four years sharpening our toolkits in venture, we’re now back in the same startup merch at @euphemia_invest, sleeves rolled up and ready to deliver on our mission to Go Big and Grow Home. One week in and by golly… things already feel more awesome. And that’s before you add the awesomeness of @dompym and Sarah Redden to the mix 🚀
We’re excited to welcome @PoppyTrew to Euphemia as Head of Growth & Partnerships. In a family office like ours, every hire matters. We’re a small but mighty team, and every people decision needs to feel like 1 1 = 3. The right person doesn’t just fill a role, they multiply the impact of the entire team. Poppy is exactly that kind of addition. Many in the venture ecosystem will already know Poppy as a thoughtful connector and ecosystem builder. For those who haven’t crossed paths with her yet, prepare to see some great things happening at Euphemia in the months ahead. In her role, Poppy will work across the breadth of the Euphemia Group, including: 🟧 The Euphemia Syndicate, where we share our most exciting co-investment opportunities with our community of co-investors 🟧 @triplebubble_vc, our dedicated fintech fund backing the next generation of financial innovation 🟧 The broader Euphemia portfolio and partner ecosystem Poppy is also Sydney-based 📍 giving Euphemia stronger coverage across one of Australia’s most active startup and fintech markets. Most importantly, she’s now officially a startup-merch-t-shirt-wearing Euphemian. Which means we’re even better positioned to do what we love most... #MakeAwesomeMakeAwesome. Welcome to the team, Poppy!

Caligra is building a computing platform for experts. Made for making. By removing consumer features and everyday distractions, Caligra is creating a new class of computer, purpose-built for deep work, focus, and flow. Last week we hosted a live demo of Caligra’s first product, the c100 Developer Terminal, at Euphemia’s office in Sanders Place. It was electric. Grant Bissett and Caitlin Zotti showcased Workbench OS in action, from instant window management to deeply integrated keyboard workflows, all designed from first principles for builders. We also shared behind-the-scenes footage from early manufacturing of the c100. If you’re curious: • Workbench OS is available now as a free ISO download. • The c100 Developer Terminal is open for pre-order, shipping later this year. If you're interested in backing the future of expert computing, a Caligra deal is coming soon to the Euphemia Syndicate. Pre-order c100 (USD$99 reservation, final price USD$1,999): caligra.com/c100/ Download Workbench OS (free): caligra.com/workbench/ Join the Euphemia Syndicate: app.aussieangels.com/syndica…

Big congrats to @minmintymin and Alexey Mitko on the impending close of @Coventuresvc Fund II. Fund I signals speak loudly: ▪️31 portfolio companies ▪️65% raised follow-on funding (well above global pre-seed benchmarks according to Carta) This is our secret mission at Euphemia in action. As the ecosystem matures and exits like $1.6B Eucalyptus create operator-turned-investors, we’re seeing a new brand of VC emerge: founder-experienced capital. Proud early backers of Fund I and following on in Fund II via the Euphemia Syndicate. We’ve secured an allocation for our community in what’s shaping up to be another oversubscribed fund. Join the Euphemia Syndicate on @AussieAngelsHQ to access the deal. afr.com/technology/eucalyptu…

The next trillion-dollar fintech won’t be a bank. It’ll be an AI-powered finance OS, and @Airwallex just announced it. Most finance teams don’t struggle with decisions. They’re buried under admin work. Invoice matching. Policy checks. Reconciliations. Chasing missing receipts. Fixing vendor records. Cleaning data. Moving files between tools that were never designed to work together. I’ve seen this up close. Brilliant teams are slowed down by tasks that have nothing to do with strategy, just mechanical steps that steal time and introduce risk. AI fixes this, not by taking control, but by removing the work humans should never do. That's Airwallex's next move. The AI agents they are building will execute real financial workflows under strict rules: - If the invoice matches the PO → route it - If the amount violates policy → flag it - If the payment needs review → escalate it - If the FX conversion is unnecessary → avoid it - If data is missing → fetch it automatically And they’re doing it on top of real global infrastructure: $1 Bn ARR, $235B transaction volume, hold 20 currencies in 1 account with no forced conversion. 95% local-rail payments, with more than 90% of transactions arriving on the same day. Airwallex just raised $330 million at an $8 billion valuation (30% jump in 6 months) led by Addition and with participation from T. Rowe Price, Activant, Lingotto, Robinhood Ventures, and TIAA Ventures. This isn't just about banking. This is an operating system for global businesses. And Airwallex is pushing finance into its next era: intelligent, automated, and built to scale.
