๐จโ๏ธ LET'S TALK ABOUT IT... โ๏ธ๐จ
Facts don't have feelings. ๐
๐บ๐ธ In Dallas, former officer Amber Guyger walked into Botham Jean's apartment, killed him, was convicted of murder, and got 10 years.
๐บ๐ธ In Chicago, former officer Jason Van Dyke shot Laquan McDonald 16 times. Convicted. Sentenced to 6 years and 9 months. Released after serving a little over 3 years.
๐บ๐ธ In Wolfe City, former officer Shaun Lucas was charged with murdering Jonathan Price. A jury acquitted him.
๐บ๐ธ In Frisco, Karmelo Anthony was convicted of murder in the death of Austin Metcalf and sentenced to 35 YEARS after the jury rejected his self-defense claim.
Now y'all tell me... ๐ค
How does one case get 3 years...
Another gets acquitted...
Another gets 10 years...
And another gets 35 YEARS? ๐๐ฅ
Before the usual crowd starts screaming, NOโI am not celebrating Austin Metcalf's death. A young man lost his life, and that's tragic. ๐
What I AM saying is that people have every right to question consistency, fairness, and how justice is applied in America. ๐บ๐ธโ๏ธ
You don't have to agree with me. But don't tell me not to ask questions. ๐ข
Compare the facts.
Compare the verdicts.
Compare the sentences.
Then ask yourself:
Are all defendants truly being judged by the same standard... or are some outcomes a lot harder to explain than others? ๐คจ๐ฟ๐ฅ
