After `gpt-5.4` updated a helper function implementation to be entirely incorrect, I asked why and was told that it "inferred" the correct signature from the documentation. I asked it which documentation and pointed out in the documentation, I gave it, the correct signature. It's response was: ``` I misread that while refactoring and changed the helper instead of changing my new code, so I’m reverting the helper API and fixing the code to call it correctly. ``` How does it "misread" something!?!? Is this what they mean when they say AI will replace developers?

When using a LLM, how often do you start a question with, "Why did you"?

hey @AnthropicAI, what's the office-addin connector in Claude Desktop? Why was it installed? Why's it tagged as "LOCAL DEV"? Why can't I uninstall it? What else are you installing on my computer?

Typescript has caused more errors in AI generated code than anything else.

I've been using a cli tool created by @jonschlinkert that's just amazing and easy to use. Much better than anything I've seen coming out of AI companies that have raised $100 million.

I'm getting very close to pushing up to the dev branch of the next major version of Enquirer. It's so much better than the current version. It has at least 3 or 4 new prompt types, and some amazingly useful features I haven't seen anywhere yet. github.com/enquirer/enquirer

If done correctly, using *more dependencies* will *decrease* bundle size, not increase it. If the same code is repeated 2 or more times anywhere in your code base, you're increasing your bundle size by inlining code. There are many other reasons dependencies are superior.

Hey @zoom, just figured I'd ask for the 12th time, please allow the keybinding that is currently using they escape key to be customized. It's beyond irritating to have zoom steal focus while I'm in the middle of a presentation.

Just published github.com/enquirer/emit-key… on the Enquirer org. I created this library to handle mouse events and add support for some things that aren't handled by node.js standard libraries. We're using this in the next major release of Enquirer (coming soon).
