🚀 Exciting news! After 4 years of "I don't have time, but it could be a nice mini product", html2pdf API is finally here! 🎉
I was busy building Bakney Sport, but I desperately needed a product like this, so I built it internally and learned a lot of valuable lessons.
For example:
- I was rendering PDFs synchronously, but users were complaining about the 2 seconds to wait for the document
- I needed to push PDFs to my S3 bucket to avoid re-rendering each time a user asked for the document
Why did I build it without formal validation? Simple:
- I'm not alone in needing this solution 🙋♂️
- Competitors exist (hello, market validation!) 🏆
- We got signups with ZERO marketing or SEO🤯

This is just the beginning! I'm bursting with ideas to evolve this blank canvas, and I'm all ears for your feedback! 👂
💡I'm considering a template-building feature, you call the endpoint with a JSON payload, and it auto-fills data for invoices, documents, reports, etc.
Thoughts?
PS: My core server can do about 30k RPS on my M1 MacBook with an average rendering.
PS PS: This is my first product launch video, and I am a bit shy 🙈
