Today I am leaving Vietnam 🇻🇳 Food: 8.5/10 Landscapes: 9/10 Accommodations: 7/10 People: 8/10 Coffee: 10/10 Best place to stay considering all factors: Da Nang for food: Hanoi For countryside and relaxing: - Tam Coc (Ninh Binh) - Da Lat I almost always eat local food, but it’s a bit more expensive than Thailand 🇹🇭, but quantity of food is greater. Average price for a meal: 50-100k dong (2-4$) tea is always free! If you like soups and not to spicy food is better than Thailand, but I missed so much the pad see ew! To travel from north to south or viceversa I suggest you to take the night cabin buses. Monthly budget: 1K $, but I spent a little bit less You can easily stay on 800$ or less if you don’t travel a lot and you stay in the same place! Driving a motorbike is a bit crazy, but in cities like Da Nang roads are larger and there is less traffic! Heading to Kuala Lumpur now! #buildinpublic #digitalnomad

I recently cancelled the github copilot plan, but there was a feature I was using a lot: auto commit generation. Since I want to have control on commits to keep a clear history I created a vscode extension to do exactly this. you can decide what llm provioder to use (even a local model). github.com/carbogninalberto/…

Introducing the Fusion API, the smartest compound model in the market. Fusion achieves Fable-level intelligence at half the price. How it works 👇

The crazy thing is not only that they disabled access outside the US, but also to all foreign people working for Anthropic. Wtf!?

What Europe should do right now: 1. Call all the European researchers working on AI and return them back with same salary (or they can stay but switch career). 2. Fill EU places having GPUs with money, and put those people there. 3. AI partnerships with China India.

Building my own open source version of Linear, but not as a Saas. I've been a Linear user for years. It's the gold standard for issue tracking. But it kept bugging me: ❌ No multi-assignee ❌ No Gantt on a project issues ❌ Useful Analytics are only for expensive seats ❌ Per-seat pricing that kills small teams (e.g. having guests) Looking at the "open source" alternatives out there I found core features gated behind paid plans, like bulk updating (✈️?!). I am making this right: ✅ full code open source ✅ Apache 2.0, self-hostable #buildinpublic #opensource

"Vibe" coding is fun until it isn't. People are slowly hit with the reality of deploying slop to production. I’m pro AI and pro any tool IF you actually know how to use it. If you blindly use a tool, you’ll have to deal with the consequences. No tool is a replacement/shortcut for learning the fundamentals.

I wasted €6000 on ads. The only merit to this current growth goes to @nico_jeannen meta ads course. With €200 in ads spending I made more progress than ever, quality leads at a fraction of the cost. #buildinpublic

1. Have some kind of onboarding tutorial in your Saas 2. Test it frequently to be sure is working Why? - Optimize your funnel - It educates your leads - Convert more trials to customers - You assure yourself it ain't broke for some weird reason #buildinpublic

The benefit of owning a DR 21 and a DR 13 website is the juicy DR 10 you get without effort. #buildinpublic

🚀 Exciting news! After 4 years of "I don't have time, but it could be a nice mini product", html2pdf API is finally here! 🎉 I was busy building Bakney Sport, but I desperately needed a product like this, so I built it internally and learned a lot of valuable lessons. For example: - I was rendering PDFs synchronously, but users were complaining about the 2 seconds to wait for the document - I needed to push PDFs to my S3 bucket to avoid re-rendering each time a user asked for the document Why did I build it without formal validation? Simple: - I'm not alone in needing this solution 🙋‍♂️ - Competitors exist (hello, market validation!) 🏆 - We got signups with ZERO marketing or SEO🤯 Check out the MVP on Product Hunt: producthunt.com/posts/html2p… Compare it on AlternativeTo: alternativeto.net/software/h… This is just the beginning! I'm bursting with ideas to evolve this blank canvas, and I'm all ears for your feedback! 👂 💡I'm considering a template-building feature, you call the endpoint with a JSON payload, and it auto-fills data for invoices, documents, reports, etc. Thoughts? PS: My core server can do about 30k RPS on my M1 MacBook with an average rendering. PS PS: This is my first product launch video, and I am a bit shy 🙈 #buildinpublic #producthunt #SaaS #PDFgeneration

I have managed my servers since day one of my career. Vendor lock-in always disgusted me. @coolifyio is one of the best products I have used in years. It's just a breeze and full of features. You might need to learn the basics of how things work under the hood, but competence is much more fun than ignorance like @dhh said once, not a long ago. @heyandras is rocking it, and as soon I will have enough cash I will sponsor the project. #buildinpublic

I made $1037,84 this September. 🏅Bakney: $1037,84 ( 3 new customers) 🚩Flagmetrics: $0 I unofficially killed the Flagmetrics product, still online for my usage (I find it useful). I am officially launching a new product very soon. I have been using it internally for Bakney Sport since day one. I decided to make a Saas out of it, without validation because it is an already validated market. With zero marketing I already have some subscribers, not paying ones for now, I want to see if it's going to help me grow further my main business, I will be open to selling the business when it reaches 1K MRR, so stay tuned! #buildinpublic
