The best Google Music replacement I've found is @doubletwist Cloud Player. It hits most of my needs:
- Cloud Storage and device sync (via Google/MS/Dropbox)
- Chromecast support
- Automatic "Recently Added" playlist
- Downloading songs for offline playback
