I have only one HDFC Bank Debit Card for years now, but used rarely. It sits in my drawer silently. Once in a few months, I take my Debit Card to the ATM to withdraw some money, to provide for our domestic help families (it helps them to buy their groceries etc).
Today, I went to the HDFC Bank ATM as usual, and saw an option in Lower Right Corner - "UPI Cash Withdrawal" 😃
My eyes lit up. My Debit Card felt very bad as I put it back into my pocket.
I tapped that UPI option on the ATM Machine, entered the amount, a QR Code came up and I scanned it using PayTM. Made the payment with Secure UPI Pin on my Phone and Crisp Notes Came Out.
My Debit Card had only One Use. Now that is also gone 😭 Time to Perform Last Rites for the Card.
Digital India is Truly Transforming the Nation !!!
