AI will not replace taste. It will make taste more valuable. Anyone can rent a camera. That does not make them James Cameron. AI will unlock incredible new talent globally, but the winners will be the people who know how to steer it. dperry.com/2026/06/01/ai-is-…

I once got invited to Neverland to talk with Michael Jackson about video games. That sentence still feels unreal to write. This story includes an egg fight, a private arcade, Enter the Matrix, Marlon Brando, David Blaine, and the Michael Jackson game we almost made. It was one of the strangest, funniest, most surreal creative experiences of my career. I wrote the full story here: dperry.com/2026/05/31/the-mi…

Will AI change EVERYTHING? So many truths about people will never change: - People will always avoid boredom. - People will always want a discount on something they don’t need. - People will still want to pay less and get more. - People will still want things faster. - People will still forget passwords. - People will still doom scroll longer than they planned. - People will still want to look good and feel admired. - People will still compare themselves to others. - People will still believe this new thing will fix everything. - People will still overpromise on Mondays. - People will still hit snooze. - People will still want to feel special — even if everyone else does too. - People will still click “Accept All Cookies” without reading a single word. - People will still think they’re the exception. - People will still talk about the weather. - People will still hammer on the elevator button. - People will still love their pets. - People who scam others will never stop. - People will still want control, even if AI handles it better. - People will still crave attention, approval, and connection. - People will still want stories that make them feel something. - People will still laugh when something’s unexpectedly true. - People will still say, “This time it’s different.” - “This meeting could have been an email” will still be true in the year 3000. - Wi-Fi will always be terrible exactly when you need it most. What should I add?

I've been thinking about how gas clouds seem to just hang in space, like the stunning Crystal Ball Nebula image released this month. That led me to wonder, what if we placed a translucent dust cloud in space between Earth and the Sun? It could gently lower Earth's temperature, reversing global warming in a controlled, adjustable, and fully reversible way. Where would we get the cloud? The Moon’s surface is covered in reflective regolith. We could use solar-powered rail guns to launch projectiles from the Moon to the ideal spot between the Sun and Earth, then release the dust in streams. AI validated the physics, robots could mine the regolith, and the projectile math checks out. The dust naturally dissipates over time in space, so if we ever wanted to stop, we would just stop replenishing it. No permanent side effects. I thought this sounded like a cool sci-fi movie idea, then ChatGPT pointed me to this MIT study: journals.plos.org/climate/ar… Is this actually possible??? #Space #ClimateChange #Geoengineering #Moonshot #NASA #MIT

When @elonmusk was a kid programming video games, so was I in Northern Ireland. Hitchhiker's Guide, the James Bond submersible Lotus car, Monty Python, I remember it all fondly. It's also in his DNA to never be able to leave gaming behind, I can't wait to see what his team comes up with!
