Below is what I posted last June, about my concern for Pakistan participating in @FIH_Hockey pro league without a professional setup. I'm sorry to say my fears are coming true.

2.5 million $ for @FIH_Hockey pro league and that too without a professional organisation heading the hockey set up in Pakistan. This will end Pakistan hockey, bcz if we do poorly & finish bottom. No one will step up to support Pakistan hockey again. Money doesn't grow on trees.

Ends 5 goals to 1 with Pakistan on the losing side. What matters at the end is what they learn & are coached from this to bring some sort of structure and challenge to there opponents after three days of rest against Spain and Belgium again. @FIH_Hockey pro league

Pakistan switch off at start of 4th quarter and get a green card leading to Spain using that as an opportunity to score a goal out of nothing. Amad butt rightly criticized by commentators for giving ball to his team mate who was under pressure.

As soon as pakistan changed its strategy by attacking high. The Spanish have started to make mistakes and there are more Pakistan circle penetrations. Now the coaches are there to monitor the onfield game and strategise accordingly, shouldv changed at end of 1st qtr. @FIH_Hockey

Pakistan coach. Even spectators like me know Spain is playing 1 to 1 touches. What r u as a coach putting out to your players in form of coaching to overcome that strategy apart form repeatedly saying boys watched videos. @FIH_Hockey pro hockey match against Spain.

First two quarters against Spain, Pakistan have been pegged back in defence. But again that is as a strategy to avoid many goals, yet finding themselves 2 goals down with 4 min to half time. This only invites continuous pressure which is hard to manage for 60 min. @FIH_Hockey

what went wrong Pakistan 1 Belgium 7 @FIH_Hockey pro league. Worst score line during the current season for Pakistan. They let in 5 goals in last quarter. Physical fitness? Likely. Mental fatigue? Yes. No captain leading from front? Yes. Goal keeper change? Yes. Lost match? Yes

Rotating the keepers. Some ppl on here were going with coaches tahir zaman and junaid that goal keeper can get tired playing a game for 60 min. The result that we rotated our best goal keeper and let in 4 goals. @FIH_Hockey pro league Belgium 6 Pakistan 1
