Happy 20th Birthday @parkrunUK! We met with Lincoln 5K Your Way to celebrate with you 🏃🏼‍♀️ Just over 6 years ago, @lucygoss and I stood at Forest Rec parkrun hoping to unite those living with and beyond cancer, their friends and family, and the oncology professionals looking after them. Of course parkrun was the perfect option; a place where community and keeping active were already at the heart of everything! We now have nearly 100 @cancer5kYourWay groups across the UK, bringing people together outside of the hospital! Thank you to all our incredible volunteers 💫

Welcome to our 2024/25 MSc and Year 1 DForenPsy cohort! A busy week of induction, finished with a trip to Crown Court ⚖️

7 years ago today I posted ‘Dad started radiotherapy for prostrate cancer as my chemotherapy for ovarian cancer finished. Yesterday I was told l'm cancer free. This evening dad completed his treatment. It's definitely time to celebrate.....and celebrate not needing to take steroids!!’ Only in my wildest dreams did I think I’d still be here years later when I was diagnosed with cancer! I am very mindful that many people are not receiving good news even though they deserve to. I have lost many beautiful friends and family to cancer and some are facing unimaginable times right now. Cancer is not equal nor fair. Not everyone has the same chances. I never take a good scan for granted nor a single day that I am here. Hopefully sharing this story will give some hope for people at the beginning of their journey with a similar diagnosis to mine. I feel thankful for the options I had and the chance of more life. Away for another holiday with Dad to celebrate being able to! 🩵
