Once @jeffstaple stopped contributing any sort of energy to his @stapleverse project, it basically died. His team desperately tried to keep it alive without his support but failed miserably.

I 100% agree. That's a hell of an adjustment to make for someone who is from a time when the buzz was organic and not pay to play (Jeff Staple).
Him being from that time I think it makes sense to speak up because it was subculture organic movement that blew up sneaker culture.
