It was an honour to part of the research team (Dmitri Kavetski, David McInerney, George Kuczera and Julien Lerat) that were the first Australians to receive the STAHY Best Paper Award for 2021 from the International Commission on Statistical Hydrology.

Inspiring the next generation of engineers - this sums up what @UniofAdelaide #Ingenuity2018 Conference is all about. One of my honours students is explaining to a group of primary school children how smart meters and machine learning can predict household water usage.

Congratulations to Conrad Wasko, whose PhD thesis won the Lorenz G. Straub Award, a global prize made annually to "the author of an especially meritorious dissertation in the area of hydraulic engineering". He's the 5th Australian & only the 2nd from @UNSW to receive the award 👏
