Memory and concentration problems in young adults have doubled since the early 2010s when smartphones became ubiquitous.

The % of Americans under 40 reporting serious memory & concentration problems has doubled since 2015, according to a study of 4.5M survey responses. The study authors naively blame inequality, but likelier causes are brainrot, inactivity, social contagion.

1. I donāt often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital.

Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow. This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured, and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations Doctor Godley.

On Saturday, I received a letter from the DWP telling my partner about changes to Winter Fuel Payment.
My partner died on Thursday 19th September. I informed the DWP of his death on Friday 27th September using the online "Tell Us Once" service. 1/
