I donโt want to be rich so I can buy a Rolex or a Chanel bag. I want to be rich so I can take my parents on holiday. So I can go to the gym randomly at 2 pm on a Wednesday. So I can cook every meal at home with fresh ingredients. So I can walk through nature in a place where I feel safe. So I can treat a friend to coffee without worrying if it tips me over budget. Thatโs the rich life I want to cultivate, not the one that was sold to me.
i am FULLY against the sentiment that we don't owe anybody anything.
we owe people common decency. we owe people respect if it has been given to us. we owe people apologies and explanations when we hurt them. i don't care.
Dear ladies never forget that: The same world that shames me for being a single mother also shames you for not being a mother and shames another woman for having too many children..lt shames one woman for having a child at the age of 19 because she's too young but also shames another for having at 36 because she's too old..lt shames a woman who marries young as well as the one who marries old..It shames women who don't have beautiful bodies and shames those who go under the knife to get the bodies. This world shames all women, not a single one of us is spared, not a single one. So love and make yourselves happy.
Donโt propose on my birthday, donโt propose on my graduation day, donโt propose on Valentineโs Day, donโt propose at someone elseโs wedding...
Keep the proposal date a separate special day not be shared with other holidays/milestones
Just because I post about God doesn't mean I have it all together. I'm still healing, still growing, still in need of His grace daily. But even on my messiest days, He meets me with love and lifts me gently. ๐ค
