The thoughts you “plant” matter.
Try this mantra: When I am intentional about the seeds I sow (making sure to water and root them in environments where they can thrive), my garden grows healthier in its season.
So this week, let’s sow lovingkindness, a little grace, room for laughter, space for flexibility, and of course: hope.
When the weeds inevitably spring forth, when the deer, the squirrells, and the insects arrive, I will adjust. I will adapt.
🧵Your story is exactly that: yours. You get to decide when and where and with whom you choose to share it.
In this clip of Tonya Mosley’s masterful podcast: She Has a Name, Tonya’s nephew, Antonio, shares a story of deep pain: one that he kept to himself for decades after his
mother went missing.
It was a true honor to sit down with Tonya and Antonio. Helping Antonio see the deep wisdom, rather than shame, in his choice was such a powerful moment. đź’™
When we let fear and shame prevent us from sharing our stories, we keep ourselves stuck in a danger zone.
Making the decision to share vulnerably, to create space for friends to open their hearts is life-affirming, life-saving medicine.
Today's Barbershop Forum was a powerful session on healing and resilience. Our community came together to discuss and address invisible aches. A big thank you to our sponsors, @pfizer and @AARP for making this important conversation possible.
