Samurai Champloo Review ✅
Its a shame i took so long to give this anime a watch. I’m not really sure what was holding me back but im glad i finally gave it a try! Not only was the action fluid with well animated sword play but there were some creative and fun moments with a soundtrack to match!
I had no idea the anime took a lot of influence from hip-hop culture but that was a pleasant surprise! Going into it, i didnt see how our trio would get along but their dynamics really helped carry the show! Ive also always been a fan of the episodic format. Most episodes feel like they could be short films.
Overall, Samurai Champloo is a cool, heartfelt, rewatchable classic that still feels fresh after so many years. Essential for those who like stylish animation, a cool soundtrack and samurai/ ronin vibes that can also be pretty wholesome.
